On Going Projects:

Active Dry Electrode for EEG (with INEB, Porto)

  • This project aims the design of novel EEG electrodes that require no skin preparation:

Status: First generation protoype is ready and a patent is being filled.                         See details at: http://www.ieeta.pt/sias/electrodo/

An Ultra Compact ECG Aquisition System

·        This project aims at the development of a microchip that implements the most important functions of an ECG system which allows a drastic reduction in its volume. Very low-power, low voltage integrated circuit design strategies reduce the power supply needs to a level where only a small (and light) battery is necessary while maintaining a good autonomy. Both reduced volume and weight ease a possible implantation of the overall system in the patient's body.

·        The chip will be used as a key component in a alarm system for heart deseases.

And many more… (under construction)
