IEETA researcher Susana Brás has been appointed as the President of the Ethics Committee for Clinical Research at the University of Aveiro (CEIC-UA), recently established to support the growing landscape of clinical and human-centered research at the institution.

With increasing research initiatives involving human participants across various scientific domains, the creation of CEIC-UA marks a significant step in reinforcing ethical standards, participant protection, and scientific integrity. The committee will play a crucial role in the review and ethical assessment of research protocols, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations, by the establishment of clear procedures and fostering responsible research practices across the University of Aveiro.
