This year, IEETA is starting a new initiative, a cycle of Seminars of our PhD students.
The goal of these seminars is to promote the research developed within IEETA, while providing the opportunity for students to share their work in a supportive environment. Through these sessions, participants will receive constructive feedback both from peers and more senior researchers. Ultimately, we aim at creating an engaging atmosphere that can foster new ideas and collaborations among the community.
Seminars will take place on Wednesdays afternoons, every two months.
The first seminar will be on the 21st of January at 14h30, with the following program:
14h30 – Daniela Pais (MAPi) – Exploring Change Detection in ECG Signals Using Symbolic Representation and Compression-Based Similarity.
15h00 – Teresa Pereira (PDEI) – Electrocardiogram for Biometric Recognition: Collectability, Stability and Application Challenges.
15h30 – Maria João Sousa (MAPi) – Enhancing the reconstruction, classification and analysis of human viral genomes.
