Sónia Gouveia, researcher at IEETA, was invited to moderate the session “Ethics of Artificial Intelligence” during the 2025 edition of Casa das Ciências, held from April 14–16 in Caldas da Rainha.
The session fostered a vibrant discussion on the ethical challenges, implications, and responsibilities linked to the development and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The panel featured insights from:
Jorge Mateus, researcher at CEPS (University of Minho), expert in ethics, political philosophy, and neuroethics;
João Pedro Pereira, journalist at Público, specializing in technology and societal impacts;
Paulo Nuno Vicente, associate professor at NOVA FCSH and founder of iNOVA Media Lab, focused on digital storytelling and AI ethics.
Sónia Gouveia promoted critical and interdisciplinary conversations on AI ethics, reinforcing our commitment to fostering responsible research and innovation.
