New Details

Over the last two weeks, various members of IEETA have actively participated in the initiative ‘Academia Verão’25’, promoted by the University of Aveiro. This annual summer program brings together enthusiastic students from all levels, from all across Portugal, offering them a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge research and technological innovation. During this edition, more than 80 students visited our institute, where they explored various scientific domains in which IEETA plays a leading role.

Throughout the program, students were introduced to a wide range of interactive sessions and hands-on workshops covering several major areas of research:

• Virtual and Augmented Reality;
• Robotics and Intelligent Systems;
• Artificial Intelligence and Programming;
• Biomedical Engineering and human wellbeing

Participation in ‘Academia Verão’25’ represents an opportunity to foster scientific curiosity and inspire the next generation of innovators. For IEETA, it is also a valuable platform for science dissemination and outreach, allowing us to share the relevance and impact of our research with a younger audience. By engaging students with hands-on experiences and real-world applications, we aim to spark interest in our main areas of research and encourage critical thinking about the technologies shaping our future.
