New Details

The book “Vultos da Eletrotecnia e da Computação. Uma Viagem Histórica do Século XVIII ao Século XXI”, coordinated by retired professor from the Department of Electronics, Telecommunications, and Informatics (DETI) at the University of Aveiro (UA), Francisco Vaz, and by Pedro Guedes de Oliveira, Emeritus Professor at the University of Porto and current member of the General Council of UA, will be presented to the public on June 20th at 4:00 PM in Auditorium IV of DETI.

This work comprises biographies of 42 individuals who contributed to what is modern electrical engineering and computer science.

The book was written by 28 academics from various Portuguese universities and coordinated by Francisco Vaz and Pedro Guedes de Oliveira, who are also among the authors.

The publication is by Edições Afrontamento, and the presentation will be made by the Rector of UA, Paulo Jorge Ferreira.
