On Sept 23, 2025, the University of Aveiro reported a rise in its presence on the “Stanford World’s Top 2% Scientists” lists, based on 2024 Scopus citation metrics: 73 UA scientists on the career-long list and 99 on the 2024-only list. The study spans 22 fields and 174 subfields using standardized indicators (citations, h-index, coauthorship-adjusted hm, and an authorship-position–weighted composite). Notably, IEETA members Armando Pinho and Paulo Ferreira are among the scientists recognized.
