We are excited to announce an upcoming seminar by Bernardo Marques, Research Assistant at IEETA – University of Aveiro, titled “Another Brick in the Interface: Interaction Design using eXtended Reality”, which will be held at IEETA on May, 3. The seminar will provide an overview of Bernardo’s research interests and areas of application, with a focus on the use of eXtended Reality technologies and Human-Centered Design approaches. Bernardo will discuss recent projects and activities conducted within the scope of the VAR Lab – Virtual and Augmented Reality research group @ IEETA, UA.
Bernardo’s vision is to foster a better understanding of how technology can improve human skills, cognition, behavior, and decision-making by leveraging user abilities and insights. His current research interests span several fields, including Human-Centered Computing (HCC), Human-Centered Design (HCD), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), Virtual, Augmented, Mixed and eXtended Reality (VR, AR, MR, XR), 3D User Interfaces (3DUI), User Experience (UX), Information Visualization (IV), and others.
