The 25th Audio Engineering Meeting will take place at the Portalegre Polytechnic Campus, on the 17th and 18th of November, and will be organized by the Portuguese Audio Engineering Association (APEA / AES) in collaboration with the management of CTeSP in Design of Sound and Music Production, from the Higher School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic of Portalegre. The meeting aims to publicize the latest technological, artistic and scientific developments in the audio area, functioning as a point of sharing, debate and coexistence between the Portuguese and international audio and applications community (inside and outside APEA / AES). Participation in the event is free, and it takes place in a hybrid format, and can be followed in person or online on the Zoom platform.

The program includes 15 oral communications on the topic of audio in the artistic, technological and pedagogical areas; a special lecture (keynote) on the theme of “Commercialization of Audio Technology”, given in English by Professor Joshua Reiss, a renowned academic and entrepreneur in the area of audio technologies, particularly in the subfield of Artificial Intelligence applied to audio; and a workshop on capturing music in Dolby Atmos format, led by Professor Marco Conceição, Director of the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espetáculo of the Politécnico do Porto.
The Audio Engineering Society (AES) is a professional organization that focuses on audio technology. Two of our IEETA researchers, Salviano Soares and José Neto Vieira, are appointed to key positions in the society serving as President and Treasurer of the AES.
