IEETA-BEST Summer Course on Data Science

The Institute of Electronics and Informatics Engineering of Aveiro (IEETA) hosted in collaboration with the Board of European Students of Technology (BEST) Aveiro a one-week summer course on Data Science for students at the bachelor and master level.

This introductory crash course on Data Science taught by IEETA researchers, spanned machine and deep learning methods, including data streams, as well as data visualisation techniques and an emphasis on responsible artificial intelligence.

A total of 25 international students out of more than 250 candidates were selected by the BEST association to attend this immersive week. Additionally, 10 outstanding female students from different areas (Informatics, biology, management, Biomedical Engineering, data science, mathematics) participated as part of the IEETA Stem Girls Bootcamp.
