IEETA is hosting the Advanced School on Artificial Intelligence (EAIA 2026) on 23–24 July 2026 at the University of Aveiro. The event will bring together researchers, students, and professionals from Portugal and abroad to explore the latest advances in Artificial Intelligence.

The programme covers four key themes: Data & Signal Processing Foundations, Reinforcement Learning & Autonomous Systems, Natural Language Processing & Human-AI Collaboration, and AI for Healthcare. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with leading national and international experts through scientific sessions, hands-on tutorials, and networking activities.

EAIA 2026 is promoted by APPIA – the Portuguese Association for Artificial Intelligence, IEETA and DETI. The local organising committee includes IEETA researchers Nuno Lau (https://www.ua.pt/pt/p/10312826) and Sónia Gouveia (https://www.ua.pt/pt/p/10339160).
