Objectives

RecPad 2009 is the 15th edition of the Portuguese Conference on Pattern Recognition, sponsored by APRP (Portuguese Association for Pattern Recognition). RecPad 2009 will take place at the University of Aveiro in October 23rd, 2009, and is organized by the Institute of Electronics and Telematics Engineering of Aveiro - IEETA.

RecPad 2009 will be an one-day conference, with an invited talk and poster sessions, following the format adopted in the 2007 and 2008 editions. RecPad aims at promoting the collaboration between the Portuguese scientific community in the fields of Pattern Recognition, Image Analysis and Processing, and related areas.

The works should be submitted as extended abstracts for consideration by the Technical Program Committee. The accepted papers will be compiled and distributed only in electronic format. The program of the conference will be designed in order to allow traveling to Aveiro in the same day of the conference, for keeping the costs low.

• Deadline for paper submission (2 pages): September 9, 2009 (September 14, 2009)
• Notification of paper acceptance: October 2, 2009
