$Hi, Sorry to interrupt the hard work of the final hours of tuning for the big day!!! Here goes a series of info and requests: 1- Competition organization: We will do two rounds plus final so that everybody will run at least twice and the three selected for the final will run one more time. Just to avoid last minute unpleasant surprises, the three finalists will be selected by the Jury considering the combined ranking after the second round, the presentations and the team reports. It is not just the competition ranking that determines it. In the first round we will organize the competition in slots of 25min: two presentations of 10min each (including overheads, so please, prepare your slides for 8-9min at most) plus two runs in parallel in two simulators (5 min). The second round will be just teams running, two at a time in the two simulators we will have there. This will take altogether another 25min. Then we have 15 min break for the jury to decide the 3 finalists, then 15min for the final and awards! 2- As you probably noticed in the rules, all teams will need to run their robots in at least two separate computers. Thus, we would ask those of you coming to bring at least two laptops ready to execute your robots, plus Ethernet cables to connect them. If you can only bring one computer (plus Ethernet cable!), please, let us know now. In this case we will need to run some of your robots in one of our computers! Thus, we need to have your binaries and all operational info (check requests 4.1 and 4.2 below) 3- To prepare the network configurations, please, use the following: disable DNS and DHCP and use the fixed IP 192.168.1.XXx where XX is your team number as it appears on the team list in CiberMouse website and x is a digit of your choice from 0 to 9 for your team computers. 4- For those competing remotely: 4.1- we will use two computers from mother Org ;-) Please, send us your binaries and we would also suggest the source code in case we need to recompile because of libraries and versions and ... Also send us all relevant operational info such as OS, kernel version, versions of libraries used, any other specific sw... 4.2- We would like to carry out preliminary compatibility tests between tomorrow and thursday. By friday, we would like to have a version that is runnable in the competition. Nevertheless, we will check e-mail saturday until 15h00 CET, and sunday until 14h00 CET. However, if there are problems with these versions, we will revert to the friday version. 4.3- We would like to test skyping with the remote participants. Can we do it this thursday at 19h00 CET? $Hi, hope all the development for this year CiberMouse is evolving at a fast rate! Any doubts, let us know, asap! There are many changes this year, and we want to make sure there will be someone to receive the prizes !!! ;-) This is a somewhat late message and we\'re sorry for that. See below: 1- team names and composition 2- reminding about all participation materials 3- registration 4- remote participation 1- Please, check our webpage on "Teams" and see if your team is there (?), if the team name is there and if the remaining info is there/correct 2- Remember that, later on we will require: 2.1- a short paper (1-4 pages) about the approach you used in developing your team (deadline about 22Nov) 2.2- a short presentation to be delivered at the event (~10min) 3- Registrations: We would like to draw your attention to the fact that there is an early registration deadline next monday, Nov 3, for RTSS and related events. Anyway, the penalty for registering after that is not so large... About the CiberMouse registrations. You can chose attending the event, physically, if so you need to register normally, i.e., each participant needs to register. This is the preferred way, since you will have full control of your participation. However, for teams that cannot really attend the event, then we will allow remote participation. In this case, one team member must still register in the same way, but just one per team is enough. We will need to have the resgistrations confirmed up to some point later on (about 2 weeks from now) 4- Remote participation The teams participating remotely will need to send us the binaries of their programs, short paper anyway, and the presentation that we will show during the event. We will have Internet access and we will try hard to have skype connection on all the time. The idea is that you do the presentation yourself, via skype, and whatch the performance of your team. It is very important to stay tuned with the Org and exchange the binaries before, to make sure we will be able to run your programs. That\'s all for now.
