Installation Guide

Before you read this page, you have to download the applications. So, the installation process of the DIA tool in your computer, have to follow the next steps...

•      Install the Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine;

•      Install Matlab Component Runtime;

•      Configure the DIADatabaseDemo;

•      Install DIA Application;

Installation Guide

How to install Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine?

MSDE2000 is installed by the setup.exe. Please see the video "MSDEInstallVideo" for more details about the installation steps of Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine. And then you have to restart your computer. When your computer is started again, you have to wait little time (1 or 2 minutes) until appears the symbol in the bottom right side of your screen.

Now the database engine is started in your computer and you can configure the DIADatabaseDemo.

How to install Matlab Component Runtime?

You have to install MCRInstaller.exe, in order to support the execution of DIA Application in your computer. Please see the video "MCRInstallVideo" for more details about the installation process.

How to configure DIADatabaseDemo?

The Database configuration is divided in two stages:

1. Configuration of DIADatabaseDemo in MSDE

In order to restore the DIADatabaseDemo in your computer, the first thing that you have to execute the file CreateDIADatabaseDemo.exe available on the folder CreateDIADatabaseDemo (Note: You have to wait a little time), and then you have to click “OK”. You have to wait until the window be closed. In the video "DIADatabaseConfigVideo1" you can see how to configure DIADatabase in your computer.

2. Configuration of DIADatabaseDemo in Data Sources (ODBC)

Before executing this step you have to initialize Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine. You must access the Data Sources (ODBC) by...

Start ® Control Panel ® Administrative Tools ® Data Sources (ODBC) 

And then appear the following window.

Note that the name of the database is DIADatabaseDemo… Please see the video "DIADatabaseDemoConfigVideo2" for more details about the configuration steps of DIADatabase in ODBC.

How to install DIA Application?

Finally, you are ready to install and run the DIA Tool in your computer. So, you have to run the DIA - Demo.msi of the folder “DIA - Demo Win” and following with the installation process. Please see the video "DIAInstallVideo"  for more details about the installation process.

Important Note: In order to use the DIA Tool, you can obtain help in a simple Users Guide
